John Isaac, after completing a commerce degree at Auckland University in 1970, qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked in both chartered accountancy firms and commercial businesses both overseas & in New Zealand. He subsequently qualified as a Licenced real estate principal agent and also, after gaining a diploma in dispute resolution at Massey University, became an associate member of the Arbitrators & Mediators Institute of New Zealand & also an accredited panel Mediator of LEADR. Since returning to New Zealand in 1976, John has:


Worked for:

  • Tasti Products Ltd, a food manufacturer as its Company Secretary & Accountant
  • Fay, Richwhite a Merchant Bank - involved in arranging finance

    • Formed:

  • Realty Brokers Finance Ltd - finance arrangers
  • Broadway Financial Services Ltd- finance arrangers
  • Business Sales Ltd in 1987 -business Brokers
  • Mediation & Arbitration Ltd in 2008-dispute resolution specialists involved in assisting parties to resolve disputes quickly, cost effectively and confidentially by using alternative dispute resolution methods (ADR) such as mediation & arbitration without clients needing to use the litigation process in courts.
  • John Isaac Business Sales in 2010-business Brokers  


    • Has:

    Been an expert witness in alternative dispute resolutions (i.e..Mediations/Arbitrations) and in Court on business valuation disputes


  • Been involved in the community over the years, firstly, as a past member of the Newmarket Rotary club (where he was a Director of several committees at both Club and District level) and secondly in coaching children's sport.

  • Spoken at seminars on business sales and valuations

  • Had an article on business sales, acquisitions and valuations published in the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants Journal, a copy of which is included on this website under the heading "useful articles".

    • His other interests, apart from his family include, golf, fishing and reading. John has been happily married for over 35 years & has two adult children.
